For me, this is the BEST GAME OF 2007, period. No disrepect to Halo 3, Bioshock, or even COD4 ... I will purchase all of them as well & they will be AAA titles themselves. But MASS EFFECT will set the bar very, very high in my opinion for RPG's, New IP's, & Next Gen titles. The story, the graphics, the gameplay, the scope & size, all will level Mass Effect to a very high pedestal. Bioware simply does not fail. You have to have at least a memory card to save your games if you have no HDD. But, as P4KY B mentioned, what percentage of Xbox 360 gamer's do not have a HDD at this point ? And if future games do *require* a HDD, so what ? Buy a 20g HDD on eBay !

Agreed. Vastly underrated & rarely mentioned.
So the lowest score this game has yet is an Xbox mag. Average score 9.78 without EGM's rumored "10".

Yeah, the only possible letdown seems to be the lack of multiplayer, but Bioshock developers stated they didn't include multiplayer in the game so they could focus on delivering an exceptional story. And it looks like it's paying off in spades. I too am glad I've already got this baby preordered & paid for.
I've said it many times before: Bioshock, Mass Effect & Halo 3 will be unbelieveable games & AAA titles in 2007,... Sweet to have Bioshock in just 2 1/2 weeks !!...

Of course, Halo 3 & Mass Effect both probably would not have been affected much by Grand Theft's original release.
How many preorders does Haze have ? Halo 3 has 4+ million.
How many games has the Haze franchise released ? Zero.
How many copies of UT2 sold last gen ? Less than 1 million.
Let's wait & see if Haze & UT3's *combined* sales even touch Halo 3's. Can't wait to see !!!

Sony's reason for the BD being in there was to win the *Movie* Format war. While more than enough space is useful, in a lot of ways, I can't argue that. They forced developers into justifying the Extra space, while most of the early games are still lack luster.(of course that may change, but on the real tip, if BD and space, have been the real deal, then Xbox 360 wouldn't have won these awards:
